@orsonscottcard We're social animals. The world is largely meaningless for us without interaction with other sentient creatures. What good is the garden without any animals in it? The problem with writing is it so often demands you be alone.

Caught Akira in 4K at my local cinema on the weekend. I first saw it as a teen when my mum's friend, whose house we were visiting, sat me on the sofa (clearly I was bored), put it on and left me to it. She must have thought it was just a regular cartoon...๐คฏ

@JosephKahn They could insist on releasing it on disc before streaming. Maybe make it a boutique release first and, if demand is there, print more. Truth is a lot of people are willing to wait a few years to see most movies, unless it's a cultural phenomenon or demands a big screen.
Four human beings are no longer in Earth's orbit. One day, perhaps in the not-too-distant future, that might be a relatively normal thing to say, but for now it remains incredible. A new golden age of science-fiction, informed by real-world science fact, surely beckons?
