interestingly it is very bad at prompting itself, consistently relying on negative instructions, or providing "leaf" solutions instead of root solutions
so you've got to put in some effort there
i guess you shouldn't ask a fish how to fish
try to spend 20 min meta-talking (?) with your coding agent
tell it what annoys you during sessions, and ask what it could automatically do to improve your experience
i feel like sometimes we forget the power it can have, if you ask the right questions
my ADHD brain always switches topics and i get stressed because I lose track, and I don't trust /compact
told it that and now it keeps reminding me the "threads" we've opened until they close
small thing yet so huge
after over a year, happy to announce the 0.9.90 release of hyperscript
https://t.co/VjfFLhJEMY
includes: reactive sub-system by @scriptogre, a redone templating system by one of my students, morphing by @latent22, a component system & many, many more features
enjoy!
Unpopular(?) opinion: LLMs write better code in Rust than they do in JS.
At least that's been my experience.
My guess is that Rust's "quality floor" is higher b/c the compiler is so strict, while JS training data is more of a wild west.
Thinking of calling it Hyper.
Unfortunately, there's already a (cool, but archived) project on PyPI with that name: https://t.co/riRgnvcxQI
Open to suggestions.
Go-to-definition, type checking, autocomplete & file nesting all work.
I built the JetBrains plugin before the transpiler. I knew it'd be useless without proper tooling.
It uses a transpiler written in Rust (btw).
You write custom .hyper syntax, it outputs (in <1ms) .py files with importable functions.
Then, you import & use those functions in your Python code (e.g. Django, FastAPI, etc.).
Not a lot of magic. Just syntax sugar for Python.
happy to announce the latest member of the board for htmx, and also our first international (romania) board member: luna
while luna may be a puppy, we expect that she will provide a steady paw on the ship of htmx over the coming years under the guidance of bomber & summit
@snewmanpv@MagusJourney@htmx_org That no-delay help panel is just what the target audience (me) needed to find my footing in the wonderful world of hypertext. Genius.
