@Italofiend Please call 988 asap. you don’t have to end your life to stop feeling like this. I’ve been through this myself so I know how hard it is. I promise if you get mental health care you can get some immediate relief, and long term support for making your life better and becoming happy
@RichardHanania If the government takes a stake in Meta or xAI, what’s stopping them from using those stakes to influence recommendation algorithms or content moderation policies to favor the party in power? Would the first amendment prevent that?
@jasonllevin Obama could have passed a Republican health care plan and Republicans still would have hated him. Oh wait, he did that. And they did hate him.
@EarlJakes It sounds like you’re saying you’re glad you no longer feel empathy or sympathy for people who are suffering. I’m hoping that’s not what you’re saying, because that is not healthy and it does not reflect well on your character
@jason_howerton Why does your party keep nominating crooks like Paxton and Trump? Out of all the Republicans in Texas, why is Paxton the nominee? Is it just a coincidence or does it reflect a moral rot inside of the Republican Party?
@EWErickson It’s fascinating to watch Republicans invent excuses for supporting crooks over and over again. Out of all the republicans in Texas, why is Paxton the nominee? Have you ever wondered why your party keeps nominating corrupt crooks? Is it something inherent to modern conservatism?
@kirbyslawyer@ace_9292@CynicalPublius “Meant to”? Who decided that? Or are you one of those morons who is upset about anything that’s different from your own upbringing?
@ralph_bria320@MostlyPeaceful It really shocks me how easy it is for people who proudly proclaim their moral righteousness to the rest of us to support people like Paxton and Trump who have no morals whatsoever
@EsotericCD What exactly are the “demands that Christ places on man and society” and the “divinely commanded morals” that Talarico fails to live up to? You list some political and theological issues that you disagree with Talarico on, but I’m not seeing the connection to Christ and morality
@c6_shanky They’d be amused that it’s set in a galaxy far, far away from the human planet, yet somehow almost all the central characters of the story are human
