@charlescwcooke It’s not the wealth itself it’s the power and influence you buy with it. Healthcare in the US is a good example, most Americans want cheaper healthcare but employers like having workers tied to company provided healthcare so they lobby politicians to make sure its never reformed
@karmaycholera But his wealth in stocks and assets does basically operate like tax free cash, he uses his assets to get loans to buy more assets which he then uses to pay off the loans so he hoards more wealth and power but barely pays any tax because his capital gains are unrealised
@JoshEakle Well yes, I’m not agreeing with anything the fascists are saying but it’s always the people who are left behind and ignored by society that want to tear it down, why would someone with a stake in society want to tear it apart?
Love seeing all these right wing wankers reacting to extending suffrage by demanding we instead go back to feudalism. Only white men over 45 who own land in good standing may vote and everyone else just has to put up with it. Fuck Starmers labour but giving the vote at 16 is good
@memeticsisyphus You are literally falling for nazi propaganda, it’s created to be intentionally seen as a universal good so they can attract and convince usually moral people. Other propaganda materials then put “unwanted elements” in opposition to the universal good to justify violence
@TheBritLad You know it’s basically impossible to even get into politics without having access to a lot of money? Actual working class people are intentionally excluded from being politicians without being bought by the wealthy
@mommy_moneyza@yet_so_far That’s already happening and the employees can barely afford to feed themselves let alone have any financial stability or afford to buy a house in the future
@nemvvs The fullbring arc had real potential but it was so short they didn’t develop the horror of everyone’s memories being changed enough to be really satisfying
