A month ago, we launched Sdashapi and honestly, the journey so far has been exciting.

Sdashapi is built to provide reliable JAMB, WAEC, NECO, Post-UTME and University APIs, backed by a rich and continuously updated bank of detailed questions and solutions.

Today, we’ve grown to 55+ users, and we’re still building, improving and pushing forward.

Our API requests have maintained a 99.1% success rate, and one of our biggest focuses has been making our service faster and more reliable for developers.

But the last 2 days gave us a serious lesson.

Our parent company, where some of our data and files were hosted, experienced downtime. This affected Sdashapi for a few hours.

We immediately reached out to our users, explained what was happening, and thankfully, they understood and were patient with us.

But for us, it wasn’t just about getting back online.

It made us realize we need to prepare better.

So we’re working towards having backup systems and alternatives in place, so that when something goes wrong, our users don’t have to sit around waiting.

We’re still on the journey of building Africa’s best and most advanced SaaS past-questions API platform.

Aside from my new journey with YouTube automation, software development is still a huge part of my life.

I’ve been building products for years applications, websites, internal tools, and software for clients across different industries. Looking back, I honestly can’t even keep track of how many projects I’ve worked on.

Beyond client work, I’ve always loved building products that solve real problems.

Through my own platforms, we’ve been able to help 50,000+ students across Africa with educational resources, exam preparation, and digital tools. Seeing people use something you built to improve their lives is a feeling that’s hard to describe.

Over the years, while building in the EdTech space, one thing became obvious.

Most educational APIs are either outdated, very limited, or simply aren’t designed for developers building modern applications. We experienced these frustrations ourselves, and we knew other developers were facing the same challenges.

Instead of complaining about it, we decided to build the solution ourselves.

That’s how SdashAPI was born.

SdashAPI is our EdTech API platform built to help developers power CBT platforms, learning apps, educational websites, AI tools, and other education-focused products with reliable data and infrastructure.

We launched just 2–3 weeks ago, and we’re already at 15 users, with 2 paying customers actively using our APIs to power their projects.

To some people those numbers might seem small.

To me, they’re a reminder that every product starts somewhere. Every user is someone who trusted us enough to build with what we’ve created, and we don’t take that for granted.

We’re still in the early days. There’s a lot more to build, a lot more to improve, and a lot more to learn.
