You would do just as well to look at German citizens during WW2. We like to believe we would act differently if we were present in those circumstances. The sad truth is that some us would never summon the gumption to act and berate themselves at home, some would turn their heads to the ground and some would join in the act. Only a few would have the level of awareness necessary to take appropriate action.
Sometimes within those few circumstances may require that some restrain themselves due to threats closer to home but when that is dealt with they will act.
I am not privy to your spiritual development but I hope this will help. When I look at humanity as a whole in our current time I see the vast majority sleepwalking through existence while they carry out a make believe purpose. They identify with their self image, bodies, thoughts and emotions. They think that possessions, careers and status are of prime importance. They have been convinced that their primary resource is money all while their true resources, their attention, freedom and time, are given away to supposed leaders.
For the most part, leaders of today pale in comparison to our Elders of old. They were given the privilege of the title ruler because they met the measure of man. They lived with honor and dignity. If we can get some of them here today among us we could divert the encroaching darkness. Maybe some of them are here, still slumbering within these vessels. We just need to wake them up.

Oh man…I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house. Every other performer was crammed side of stage to watch this bittersweet majesty unfold.

And my god, could you feel the power of musical alchemy in the hall last night. The soaring sharp needle of sung and played notes that tear us asunder and stitch us back together. The way it isn’t about any one thing. The way music can communicate more than mere words ever can.
