I enjoyed Supergirl. It's a pretty good movie with good performances. Not groundbreaking and it has a few teetering on a tightrope issues but overall it's relatively solid. Milly Alcock is the best thing about the movie which is good since she is the lead. #Supergirl

Perhaps the way Sigourney played Ripley more maternal or that is how people saw it because the character was played by a woman.

Superman/Supergirl. Not sure if this has been thought ofnor done before but I was thinking of a concept where Krypton was intentionally destroyed because someone figure out if Kryptonians spread to yellow sun solar systems they would be too powerful as a race.

BS claims like this do not help movies with female leads like Supergirl.
Sometimes it is a bad movie. Even Grace Randolph, a feminist who is all about checking boxes says it is not a good movie. Most people will support a good movies regardless if it has POC, woman, queer lead.

@Turtle40400 I enjoyed The Marvels, it had potential but the execution was lacking. The tone was wrong for the heavy subject matter ideas. It had no emotional weight. It felt like instead of elevating tv Ms Marvel and Monica to movie level they lowered Carol to just above Ms. Marvel tv level.

People need to understand that Avengers: Doomsday is the movie the heroes get their asses whipped in. So if you want your fav character is in Doomday then your fav character is getting their ass whipped. Secret Wars is the movie where the heroes save the day.
