Thank you to St. Mark’s for their amazing work in cleaning up our courtyard so it is ready for staff and students! We love our community support. It looks amazing. @EESMaher
Lots of celebrating our amazing principal’s birthday! We hope it was a great day Mr. Maher! Mrs. Dudley’s kindergarten class even sang and gave him his very own birthday hat.❤️@EESMaher
Thanks to @MissAmericaVA and Miss Teen Virginia for helping us kick off #Kindness Week at Evergreen! They led a 5th grade morning meeting, presented to all the 3rd grade classes, and visited a few other classrooms to share their message of kindness and positivity. @EESMaher
Way to go Evergreen!!! First place in both 2-3 group and 4-5 group!!! Their collaboration was truly the most impressive. Thank you Mrs. Ipock and Ms. Sawyer for all you work and support. @EESMaher
Kids need consequences. This is different than punishments. A consequence is when students are held accountable for repairing harm, is logical and relates to the offense, and builds empathy.
Punishments build fear or indifference and don't teach empathy.
Evergreen World Tour! So proud of these Ts & Ss! A student-driven project leading to a fabulous evening of celebrating learning & diversity... & giving to others! @EESMaher @LHenry202 @Emily_Yates42 @crmiller201@ccps_gifted
