Tonight I requested that the Irish government’s Foreign Affairs Minister urgently press for the immediate release of north Belfast man Fra Hughes & all Gaza aid flotilla activists.

They have been illegally detained by Israeli forces while attempting to break the blockade & deliver desperately needed humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.

Israel’s repeated violations of international law & attacks on humanitarian efforts cannot continue without consequence.

He was appointed by the government and his position is utterly untenable after revelations that his company has been importing Brazilian beef into Ireland.

BREAKING: Quesser Zuhrah is taken to hospital after crowds gathered at HMP Bronzefield following her rapid health deterioration after 46days of hunger strike.

MP Zarah Sultana had refused to leave the site until an ambulance arrived, with crowds forming over 12hrs of protest before an Ambulance arrived.

Bronzefield is a private prison, run for profit. They have attempted to avoid responsibility for the hunger strikers as though they do not carry the same obligation as state run prisons.
