The girls wrapped up a great ‘20 season with a 3rd place finish at the SD 14U tourney this weekend. Great job girls and thank you to the coaches Emmie, Syd and John for countless hours of hard work in teaching the game to the girls!

SDP advances to play Brookings - Bortnam after beating Brookings ‘05 by a score of 9-7. Ella Langenhorst lead the way with 3 hits and Tajsia Herron and Amanda Vacanti each rattled off 2 hits each. Next up Brookings - Bortnam at 6:00 PM

In an elimination game SDP topped SD Xplosion 16-5 as the squad mashed 5 HR. Ava Gross had a grand slam and a 3 run shot and 7 RBI in her 3 hits. Ella Langenhorst also hat 3 hits and a HR and Rylee Reeser and Hailey Boer also hit HR’s...next up Brookings at 12:30.

SDP lost in the opening round of the 14U State Tourney 3-2 vs SF Cyclones Red Amanda Vacanti had 3 hits and Ava Gross had a solo HR in the top of the 6th to put SDP up 2-0.Jayla Plotz threw a great game but Red hit two home runs in the bottom of the 6th, great game!

SDP won 7-4 vs Northern Iowa Heat. Kalli Boom and Ava Gross lead the bats with 2 hits each. Amanda Vacanti got the W in the circle and Jayla Plotz came in to secure the last two outs. Up next a 8:15 PM vs. MN Moose (Ham Lake, MN). One of 4 undefeated teams left now.

SDP won their 1st round of Gold Bracket play by a 10-3 score over Clutch Hitters of Bloomington, MN. Ella Langenhorst and Tajsia Herron led the hit parade with Home Runs and overall the girls had 11 hits as a team. 2nd round bracket play is at 3 PM on Saturday.
