@chewker87@HunterHodies@trithart_@jmarshfof Graves goes. Savoie attached to Nurse. Does that at least make it digestible? This staff turned EK around. Shea was also good. Wotherspoon was better than advertised. However Letang and Girard weren’t great.
Stan Bowman did nothing to protect a player sexually abused at work under his watch. He did some “learning” & was reinstated under the premise that he had finally developed a moral compass at age 50. He then hires a toxic bully deemed unhireable by the rest of the league. Neat.
@_kusco93@Sports_Spectrum@Jslavin74 Making up a story just to have an answer isn’t the way. As Ricky Gervais said, if you destroyed every fiction and holy book and waited 1000 years, they wouldn’t all come back the same. But if you destroyed every bit of science, waited 1K years, it would come back exactly the same
What Ron MacLean said last night was ill-advised, but folks may be going a bit overboard with the vitriol in our cancel culture climate. He was trying to be clever (as always), tying in a movie reference with the holders of the Cup being on a roof. He immediately apologized. Yes - he comes up with too many groaners, and for those who dislike puns, he is highly annoying, but to demand his firing for a misguided attempt at humour may be excessive.
This is the way the NHL should hand out the Stanley Cup every year.
Instead of the stupid one at a time half loop everyone takes, they should let it be organic.
The team mobbing Mario and the Cup, Mario emerging from the mob, and the mob following reaching out for their turn with the Cup is 1,000 times better than what the NHL has done for the last 20+ years.
Rod sneakily built in a 35 pound cinderblock lift into the Canes offseason workouts, called it “Blue Collar Presses”, and the boys never thought anything of it…
Turns out he was having them practice lifting the Cup all season long 🤯🔥

Carolina’s style sucks. Lob everything possible on goal, man up on defense. Exhausting& uncreative. Brind’Amour incredibly overrated as coach. Because he’s popular among ex-players with mics.
Brind’Amour should be done in Carolina. Lots of hype from ex-players in the media, but his teams have underperformed their talent. His style wears out his players.
