All U-46 schools will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 23, due to the winter weather conditions and advisory. This decision comes after careful consideration of the current icy road conditions lasting until around 9 a.m. and the recommendation of the Kane County Sheriff’s Office.
Important Update. U-46 schools will welcome students back into the classroom on Wednesday, Jan. 17. Please be aware that due to the winter weather conditions, there might be bus delays. Also, make sure your children are dressed for the weather.

Law enforcement have determined it is safe for students and staff to return to South Elgin High School. They will resume their normal schedules for the day. As a precaution, there will be an increased police presence in the area today.
South Elgin High received an anonymous call this morning believed to be a swatting call with a bomb threat. As a precaution, students were moved outside. South Elgin Police & Kane County Sheriff are investigating. No other U-46 school is involved. All staff & students are safe.
