@JoePJRobertson Thickly has jumped from the shad cab before Kemi kicked him out for being too wet, & is now set on coming 3rd in London with a peerage awaiting as a reward.
You obviously only post when you get prompts from Central office, but try having a thought of your own once in a while.
@danielmgmoylan@Conservatives@JamesCleverly@MayorofLondon It’s good news for the Conservatives because Kemi won’t now have to sack him & she can’t be blamed when he comes 3rd I London. Thickly has a long record of leftist stupidity but their candidate wil be Khan.
@janeyellene There are still houses on Lambeth Road that would have seen it but a lot of the area was redeveloped when the railway embankment punched through to Waterloo.
@PeterSm47530584 I think you misunderstand my tweet- my granny wasn't married to HSD - Her husband , Captain Mervyn Crawshay, 5th dragoons, was killed fighting dismounted in October 1914. HSD commanded the British II Corps at the retreat from Mons.
@London_W4 This is locals green space and anyone walking the thames path has to put up with it.
If you want to protest - fine- arrive every day and do so - but campus should be cleared away.
@ClarkeMicah We went to war in 1914 which nearly destroyed our civilisation and again in 1939 which completed the job
Each time we were the only power not forced to take part by being invaded.
Saving France twice killed our civilisation - luckily they are grateful..............or are they?
@janeyellene Compare and contrast the The Cavendish Hotel of those days which fitted perfectly into its surroundings with the grotesque, out of scale crematorium which replaced it.
@bo66ie29 The first frame shows park Lane with a Hyde Park lodge.
Needlessly destroyed making this historic thoroughfare a sterile space and now the slowest 4 lane road in the world.
@oaksandlions Local residents fought tooth and nail to preserve this as Ken Livingstone wanted to block the view with Skyscrapers.
Thanks to the late James Batten and others!
@RodneyMarshall1 I still possess two. When I showed them to my 21 year old son,and suggested he might add them to his wardrobe, he simply left the room laughing hysterically even after I told him that they were the uniform of a Cad. Oh well, perhaps next time!
@janeyellene Nowadays they'd have to endure brightly coloured rickshaws blaring music, or dodge between find the lady con men and hot nut salesmen.
Lucky this bridge isn't next to our parliament or anything important - isn't it?
@London_W4 Despite being delicious, I count that breakfast a fail as it appears to contain a hash brown. An American invention that should never tarnish the purity of a Full English! Baked Beans seem alien too but that's marks off, not a fail....
@VinnieSull1van@PubHistoryTours I'm afraid that although Goldfinger's crimes are horrendous, he must always take second place to whoever designed and commissioned New Zealand House on Haymarket.
If Erno's efforts jar against their surroundings, New Zealand House is a punch in the face for any civilised person.
