My 5th graders zoomed with Harry Beckwith, well-known author and lecturer for national corporations. He engaged us with pictures/tales of his travels around the world. Thank you, Mr. Beckwith, for the amazing presentation. @smith_seabess #GlobalLeaders#Aroundtheworldin180days

My 5th graders got to Zoom with two teachers across the globe today: One in England and one in Thailand, who is from Peru. They discussed how COVID-19 has affected them in their countries. Such an eye opener! #onceaSeabeealwaysaSeabee@Smith_Seabees
5th grade math students have started Math Quest. I challenged them to send me a picture of them doing an act of kindness over the weekend, and I would quadruple their travel dots (how they move on the map). #randomactsofkindness@Smith_Seabees
My first experience with Hands on Equations Fractions, and the students and I love it. They have to use their fraction knowledge to solve for unknown variables. @Smith_Seabees
Fourth graders had to use Place Value knowledge to breakout of the classroom today. While only one group broke out, the other 2 were right on their heels. @Smith_Seabees@breakoutEDU
Third graders use tangrams to create polygons. To stretch theirs brains, each tangram piece is assigned a numeric value, so each polygon created must be a certain total.
