🚨 The journalist: “What do you think about Lamine Yamal’s actions yesterday during FC Barcelona’s league title celebrations, and should a player avoid interfering in matters unrelated to football?”
Pep Guardiola: “And should you also avoid interfering in things that are not your specialty? You are here to ask me about tomorrow’s match against Crystal Palace F.C..
Despite that, I will answer your question..... A football player is a role model followed by millions, and his opinion is influential, so he should express his opinion when necessary.
What would you do if you found your wife and children under the rubble of homes like them there? Would you come here to the press conference to talk about a player wearing a shirt and running after a ball?? Of course not!!
You do not choose the topics we want to talk about, so those are things outside your specialty. Lamine’s stance is something he should be proud of — he has now become the talk of the world.”
Mark Ruffalo has added his name to an open letter condemning the Berlin Film Festival's "silence" on Gaza and its “censoring” of artists who have spoken out.
The letter, which was originally signed by Tilda Swinton, Javier Bardem and more, said it “expects the institutions in our industry to refuse complicity in the terrible violence that continues to be waged against Palestinians... We call on the Berlinale to fulfil its moral duty and clearly state its opposition to Israel’s genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes against Palestinians, and completely end its involvement in shielding Israel from criticism and calls for accountability."

The ICE shooting in the United States is horrible to see, but it is telling how much conversation there is around that vs how little there is for the Palestinians dying on camera everyday for the past year
Many lives have been lost and displaced by severe floods and landslides in Indonesia and Sri Lanka, with no infrastructure to support those in need. Please help those who are in dire conditions.

Today Israel bombed a school turned shelter in Gaza as a wedding was being held.
An IOF tank fired on the building with 6 people murdered and dozens injured.
Israeli forces then prevented ambulance and civil defence crews from reaching the injured, children amongst them.
There is no ceasefire.
There is no peace.
Just brutal colonial oppression.

TAKE ACTION
Hey all, it's been awhile since we provided an update.
We want to let you all know that the final amount of $105,711.24 USD (after fees) was received by UNRWA USA. Thank you to everyone again for your support.
And remember, the fight for Palestine's freedom continues.
It is absolutely heartening to see videos and accounts of the Palestinian people returning to their homes after the ceasefire, and of aid finally reaching them. The time for rebuilding and healing begins. It is also imperative we do not stop fighting for the end of oppression.
This is American activist, Chris Smalls. He worked in an Amazon warehouse for over four years.
In 2020 he was fired for protesting unsafe conditions and quarantine violations.
In 2021 he started the Amazon Labor Union calling for higher pay, better benefits, and better anti-discrimination policy.
In 2024 he joined the calls for a #FreePalestine. In June 2025 he boarded one of the original ships of the #FreedomFlotilla, whereby he got surrounded, beaten and captured by Israel Occupying Forces in international waters on his way to #Gaza, and was thrown in prison. In July 2025, Chris Smalls got out of prison to immediately join the #GlobalSumudFlotilla movement to try and reach Gaza once more! Chris Smalls is one of the detainees who were taken in by IOF yesterday and is with the rest of the #Flotilla members in Ashdod!

Hey all, a quick update from us at @seagamesforgood regarding the charity: we are in conversation now with @unrwausa and @itchio to ensure the money is properly directed to UNRWA USA. We are also finding out next steps.
In the mean time, all eyes on the Global Sumud Flotilla 🇵🇸
To commemorate this incredible moment, I would love to share one more gorgeous piece of art from @chiielein to close out this fundraiser.
Once again, thank you so much for all your support, your contributions, your games and your love. Free Palestine 🇵🇸 !
And that's it!!!! The Play for Peace: Games for Palestine charity has come to an end.
Together we raised nearly $117,500 USD for Palestine relief. Thank you everyone from the bottom of our hearts, this has been a wonderful journey.
Mini thread⬇️
We'll be following up with UNRWA and Itch to understand next steps, to ensure the money is properly disbursed, and we'll keep everyone updated on all channels.
We're down to the last 1.5 hours of the Games for Palestine charity. If you've not yet picked up nearly 400 incredible indie games and experiences, and support a good cause while you're at it, now's your chance
As we reach the last 24 hours of the charity, we have many people to thank, from all the devs, to the volunteers, organizations and groups that have supported us. This would not have been possible without all of your help.
Let's push hard till the very end, thank you.
