Ted, 2, is finding his feet again after losing his owner. He’s friendly, easy-going and his playful side is now shining through. He’s looking for an adult home, possibly with another calm cat.

Just to clarify....in England and Wales stray dogs are put down after 7 days if they cannot be found a place in a rescue center. The public is NOT allowed to adopt them. We have a law against it. Most rescues work tirelessly to save dogs and prevent many many euthanizations a year. The problem is that they are full and can't take on new dogs a lot of the time. Puppy breeding licenses need to be suspended until the shelters are clear.
@fugitiveink You have just described a situation I am in and how I am feeling about it. I’m sure it’s not the actual same situation but everything you describe is true of it. I hope you feel less stressed soon..
Fantastic work in the Japanese Garden this morning! It’s incredible to think that all the decorative stones were hidden beneath a foot of mud.
The difference is remarkable. We’re nearly there now—just a few final touches to finish it off. Brilliant effort from everyone involved.
Astrid is a 5 year old female German Shepherd x Belgian Malinois. She is available and looking for a new home. Astrid is chipped and spayed and also healthy with no medical issues. She would suit a home with someone who is active and can give her plenty of walks and attention. Astrid eats a mix of wet and dry food and can be left on her own. She travels well in the van with her dog walker but can be car sick. She sleeps in her owners room at night either on the bed or her own bed on the floor. Astrid likes to meet new people and gets excited. She would be fine around teenagers but not small children. Astrid doesn’t like cats. She is registered with the vets. She is fine on group walks but when she is with her owner she can be reactive to other dogs as she thinks she is protecting her owner. A home with no other animals is best for Astrid and her needs. She is use to spending time alone at home with background music left on for her. Astrid is excellent at letting you know when she needs the toilet. She is kept on a lead when out on walks as she can be reactive to other dogs but not all dogs. She is also use to a long lead and loves to play with her toy or a ball. Astrid sees playing with toys or a ball as a job and doesn't pay much attention to other dogs unless they come into her space.

We are desperately looking for a new home for Junior but haven't had any luck at all with his appeals. Can you please share to help him on his way?
Junior is a 6 month old Malinois cross Mastiff. He is available and looking for a new home through no fault of his own.
Junior would be best in a home with no other pets due to his size and dominance over other dogs.
He is young enough to be trained however we will be very specific in his new home as we'd like someone who is use to the breed and can demonstrate that they can train him and offer him the guidance he needs.
Junior hasn't been around kids much. He would be best with older children of a teenage age due to his size.
He is chipped and eats meat pouches and biscuits.
Junior is use to being left on his own for any length of time and is great meeting new people.
He hasn't met any cats.
Junior is okay on the lead but will need training with this. He is also registered at the vets and loves playing with toys.
He is walked around 3 times a day and likes to go to the park.

Axl is in need of a new home through no fault of his own.
He is chipped and chemically neutered.
Axl is healthy with no medical issues.
He eats a mix of wet and dry food and is also crate trained.
He sleeps in his crate and is registered at the vets.
Axl is okay in the car and will bark at people to begin with but will settle.
He would be best without other dogs or cats in a home.
Ideally he would suit someone who can give him further training.
Axl is vaccinated.

Jake is a 6 year old Bearded collie x Boarder Collie, we're looking for a new home for him.
Jake is a product of his environment. He lived in home with two elderly owners, and has grown up with both of them going through the various stages of dementia.
Other than walk and feed Jake, sadly both owners had no idea of how to train or look after a dog. As a result he has had a stressful life to date, and at times has suffered physical abuse as a method of control. This shows in his behaviour, (nervous, defensive and will attack if feels threatened).
Training has been at a basic level, house trained and walking on the lead.
Jake gets nervous of noise, phones ,hoovers etc. This will lead to excessive barking and with hoovers he will attack them. In the late evening he will start barking for no good reason. This is thought to be related to his owners health condition as dementia sufferers symptoms get worse later in the day.
That sums up Jake’s bad points.
Outside Jake is a different dog. He no longer pulls on the lead when walking, takes a command to wait and is more comfortable with passing vehicles.
Small fast cars are still a slight issue. He is no problem when he meets people outside and will lie down should a conversation take place. Most times he is fine meeting other dogs. The exception is if another dog gets aggressive. He will respond. He does not like cats! It should be noted that Jake is also ok with people coming into the house.
He loves to run and fetch a ball. He will happily play outside all day if someone is throwing a ball. Currently this is done on a long rope lead as his play area is not fully enclosed.
Jake requires a quiet home with owners who understand the breed, and can continue to improve his issues. He is not ready ( and may never be) for a house with young children. He needs his space to regain the trust that a raised voice or hand is not a threat.
Over the past 6 weeks there has been an improvement in his behaviour. That said there is still a way to go before he becomes the dog he can and should be.
Jake has a diet of dry food mixed with a small sachet of wet food. In addition to this he does get treats, which he enjoys, as a reward.
From the limited experience with Jake he has been ok in the car.
Jake has and has always had a large cage that he goes into if left alone. He also sleeps in it at night. He is fit and healthy. - Words by Emma, member of the family.

Che is a 7 year old male cat. He is available and looking for a new home.
Che would be best suited to a home with no other pets. He has been fine with other female cats he has come into contact with.
He wouldn't like a home with any male cats.
Che is fine with people and likes company. He would be okay with older kids.
Che is neutered and healthy with no known medical issues.
He mainly eats dry food but does enjoy wet food too.
He is registered with the vets and has a carry box.
Che likes to be brushed and stroked.
He is an outdoor cat and will do his own thing during the day.
At night he will come and sit next to you.
