A Punjabi woman in Birmingham remarked how similar her journey and experience had been from the Punjab to Britain via Delhi and what an impact the exhibition had on her. It is free entry with complementary programmes running in parallel..a distraction for all the family.

Usually, there are three women for every man that attends our daily lunch club but it was the opposite yesterday. A big thanks to LIC staff and volunteers for hosting 30 people on Christmas day. Please support our appeal so we can continue to help.

Thanking our ambassador Laura Whitmore @thewhitmore for all you do for the LIC. To enable us to help others this Christmas and throughout the year, please give as generously as you can by following the link or by visiting our website. Many thanks and merry Christmas.
Thank you @thewhitmore 💚
This winter, we’re working with people facing homelessness, loneliness and other challenges, which impact most sharply on those already vulnerable.

Very grateful to Ambassador Fraser taking the time out of his busy schedule to see the performance of the Blood Red Lines at the London Irish yesterday...last performance tonight at 7 p.m. It is very special and powerful and not to be missed: https://t.co/a5Unwzc5tI
Ambassador Fraser attended the powerful and moving ‘Blood Red Lines’ today, which brings together the vital stories of victims and survivors of the Troubles. There’s one more night to see this extraordinary production while it’s in London: https://t.co/DsEgfy8nEr
As we rely on the generosity of our donors year-round to support the vital services we offer, LIC needs that help more than ever to ensure we can provide a warm, welcoming space to those who need it most.

We welcome the expansion and coordination of services for those in Britain living with the legacy of residential institutions in Ireland.
This is an important and timely development.

I’m so pleased that this is my first post in my new role. It is paramount that we shed light on this sensitive subject and offer our support to survivors of all institutions in the best way we can.
This week, we launch our dedicated support service for survivors of Irish institutional abuse, as well as a Freephone Response Line which advises former residents of Mother and Baby and County Homes on the upcoming Redress Scheme.
