The most rigorous large controlled study remains Dhejne et al. (2011), a Swedish population-based cohort of every person (n=324) who underwent sex-reassignment surgery in the country from 1973–2003. Each was matched 10:1 to controls of the same birth year and birth sex (or reassigned sex). After surgery, the sex-reassigned group had:19-fold higher suicide mortality (adjusted hazard ratio 19.1)
Nearly 5-fold higher suicide attempts
Nearly 3-fold higher psychiatric inpatient care

These elevations persisted for decades. The authors concluded that surgery may reduce gender dysphoria but “may not suffice as treatment for transsexualism” and that ongoing psychiatric care is needed.

The Catholic Church executed people for heresy and being Protestant - which are victimless crimes.

Unlike a lot of atheists I am all for execution for aggravated murder that is proven beyond doubt.

The DP could deter "rational" murderers and permanently protect the community, including Prison inmates and staff.

Popes, councils, and the Catechism long taught that the state may use capital punishment as a just penalty.

The Catholic Church used capital punishment on heretics like Giordano Bruno.

The 1992 Catechism still allowed it in rare cases of extreme gravity.

In 2018 Pope Francis revised paragraph 2267 of the Catechism to declare the death penalty “inadmissible” because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person.

That is a clear change in the Church’s official moral presentation of the issue.

Gender affirming care and surgery actually significantly increases the rate of psychiatric problems trans people have, compared to people with gender dysphoria who just get psychiatric treatment.

A medical professional wouldn't affirm an anorexic's delusion they are fat, so why affirm a boy's delusion he is a girl.

The police should remove those people and there should be consequences to deter such behaviour.

@Peterg9wd @___TheGOOdWitch Jesus was a Jew who quoted from the Jewish scriptures and taught at a synagogue. It was claimed he was descended from David by two different geneologies.

I am an atheist but I have actually read the Gospels rather than quoting Marxist and Islamist propaganda.
