@anniewallbucks@Primary_Pianist In LDS doctrine, baptism performed by a worthy individual with the Aaronic priesthood is required to be accepted into the kingdom of God. Mormons will claim everyone will be baptized and given the opportunity to choose in this life or the next, so they baptize dead people.
@anniewallbucks@Primary_Pianist Ask any church leaders if baptism is necessary. They will assure you that not only is it a commandments and necessary ordinance to have to be saved, but only a baptism in the Mormon church counts.
@RyanBErickson@Rothbardian64@Primary_Pianist This conversation kind of goes back to the original point though. Mormons believe they have a prophet who speaks with God and God speaks through Him, but when the prophet says something "a little over the skis" all of a sudden he isnt a prophet, but a fallible man. Contradiction.
@joshnaa2gez Mormons assume baptisms dont work unless the person baptizing is specifically ordained by God to do so under their own umbrella of religion. Mormons believe good people arent saved for simple ignorance and Mormons should reevaluate their assumptions about God.
@jkimballcook You probably got endowed for yourself before 2005, so you had your genitals touched or tickled when you went through, but are you old enough to remember the 'Adamic' language prayer or gesturing to slit your throat?
@theprofsrecord@EricCMeadows Statistically, Mormons are probably have better successful marriage rates, higher birth rates, and providing more financially than other religions. Maybe those other religions could learn something for their own life experiences.
@TruthHolder2023 You can conclude the God of each is fundamentally different and therefore they cant be compatible with each other and should be considered a different form of Abrahamic faith like Judaism or Islam.
@collegefandave Interesting how today, LDS members refuse to call themselves Mormons because the current "prophet" said its evil. But when Gordon B. Hinckley was the "prophet" there was a church directed ad campaign 'I am Mormon.'
