Using my one tweet of the year to request @IASTATEAD please ban the screaming free throw children from Hilton. Or at least move them away from the mics?

@doumanation18 Probably because they’re cutting programs with no plan in place and their idea of a “full-scale effort” sucks. Sending emails to all government employees so they can list things they’ve done? Who’s reviewing and verifying they did those things? How is this efficient in any way?
The Wellbeing and Exercise Lab is seeking adults (18+) with #epilepsy and residing in the U.S. to complete a brief survey about exercise preferences, barriers, and facilitators. If you are interested, please fill out the survey here: https://t.co/16xSeLi0gZ

@doumanation18 That’s fair. More research is definitely needed. But you’re making some bold claims while recognizing there is no evidence that supports what you’re saying. Either way, poor mental health and suicidality are serious issues with this population and banning care isn’t gonna help.
@doumanation18 I have too and their voices are just as important. But have you listened to those who have benefited from it (which is the large majority)? And I’ll wait for that evidence on the irreversible damage
@doumanation18 Can you provide some evidence of this irreversible damage? And it’s not a decision that is made one day. It involves multiple health care professionals and there are still rules and regulations. I encourage you to listen to the voices of people actually impacted by these laws.
@doumanation18 Puberty blockers and HRT have been used for a long time and are also used for other health conditions. There’s no evidence they are unsafe or irreversible (though the fact that you have to stay on them implies they are reversible, no?). Also waiting til 18 defeats the purpose.
@_AlexGookin Idk who made hers, but if anyone is looking for custom denim, @_mikaaaela (@_mikbydesign on insta) is your girl!! She’s incredibly talented AND an ISU grad :)
There are now 3 active AP Polls in DI college athletics. 23 programs are represented in the top-10 across the polls, but only 1 appears in all three:
The Iowa State Cyclones
Michael Phelps is literally referred to as a freak of nature because of his disproportionate wingspan, double jointed ankles, lung capacity twice that of an average human, body that produces half the lactic acid of a typical athlete, and he is rightly celebrated for being the greatest male swimmer in history. Meanwhile, female athletes with genetic differences are legally discriminated against and harassed to no end. This is not about “protecting women in sports” - this is about protecting a very specific idea of what a woman is.
@doumanation18 Gotcha. So we’re not basing it on reproductive anatomy and we’re not basing it on chromosomes? We’re just gonna subjectively base it on the “male structure”? Just trying to find the goalpost here
@doumanation18 I’m not talking about people on HRT. I’m talking about a theoretic situation that is identical to the boxer we’re talking about, but flipped. Someone who has the anatomy of a male but genetic testing shows he has female chromosomes. Who do you want him to compete against?
@doumanation18 That’s not what I said. If you’re saying that this boxer should not be allowed to compete against women because she’s allegedly intersex, then you think that a presenting man who actually has female chromosomes should be competing against females, right? Just following your logic
