@DestinyBulletn Remember this is caused by ridiculous mismanagement at Bungie, not simply acquisition by Sony. Bungie fumbled way too much and now is when it catches up with them and us.
@Celestin_Dragon@DestinyBulletn This is very much like when The Deep spoke directly to Oryx. The tone matches exactly. Of course neither Oryx at the time, at least explicitly, nor we reading the Books of Sorrow at release, knew the name of the entity behind the darkness and sword logic. But it was The Winnower.
@BlazingFuego999@MacroChuck@DestinyBulletn I think the gardener went to sleep when creating the ghosts, feel like that was at least implied. So ghosts and the light they provide are the power of the gardener distributed, and as light returns to the source like Cayde, the gardener reawakens.
@gnolan12 We definitely see Metamorpho help at the end, so you either couldn't tell or weren't paying attention. Not surprised to find that you think scenes jump confusingly, given that you weren't paying attention.
@mynerdyhome I think a lot of folks aren't getting that they aren't exactly being themselves here, they are coming at this interview "in character" as "reporter" and "hero" but then maybe getting emotionally worked up as it goes. I expect to like Lois in context.
@J0hnADouglas I think he is "playing Superman" for the recorder in this scene, and Lois is, in the same way, grilling him like a reporter as if they don't have a relationship. I think in context it will make sense, but we'll see
@DegenerateJay I think the bigger hit was the combination of DC movies being disappointing for so long (there's a lot I loved about MoS, BvS, ZSJL but I still wished they were better, for example) and also Disney/Marvel hurting the perception of superhero stuff in Phase 4 and beyond
