@publinie@RedgmanNyc My grandparents’ pub was O’Gorman’s on Main Street in Cavan town. Here’s my grandad Eddie behind the bar. Great childhood memories of getting a bottle of Cavan Cola and pack of King crisps every time we called in!
@IrishTimesOpEd@IrishTimes While horribly tragic, this was not even the biggest loss of life in Ireland in 1943. The orphanage fire in Cavan in February of that year killed 36 people.
@imgrandsure Well horse, have you ever been to/heard of Feeney’s down near Tower Hill? From their website and socials looks to be a new spot owned by a Leitrim man! Could be worth a look.
@Rubberbandits There’s a good book about the making of the film as well called Future Noir. Had never read a behind-the-scenes book before but liked it a lot.
@alwaysondesign @pavement_band Saw them a few weeks ago in Camden and they were great! The amount of plaid shirts being worn by the crowd of graphic designer dads at it was off the charts.
