🚢 shippity ship ship!
Make works with your local code too!
One of the main questions we've had since launching Make was exactly that - "How does it work with my actual code?"
Well now you can branch and edit your product visually, commit, and more without leaving Figma or messing around with terminals.
So you can go beyond prototypes and into production, together with your team.
Shout out to a stacked team that pulled this, and a bunch of other upcoming drops together at what seems like lightning speed!
Stay tuned for more!
So excited to see what I’ve been up to go live! Figma Make now lets you work with your local codebase where you can prompt, edit, and open PRs directly inside Figma. We're giving designers & builders the power to take control over what ships. This is just the beginning.
Figma Make, now on your local code
In limited beta starting today, you can visually edit and ship changes by connecting Make to your codebase
At Figma, we use our products to design in every way: design layers, prototypes, and now, production code
I've been having so much fun with Figma Make lately. Here's a minimal version of Figma Design I made entirely with Figma Make to help me bootstrap new ideas. It has a working canvas, supports multiple pages, keyboard shortcuts, and more.
Designers - give me your favorite examples of responsive product design. Entire screens, individual components - it doesn’t matter. The clever thoughtful details. Adapting for portrait and landscape mode. Give me the best you’ve got!
Thrilled that we’re finally able to share with the world a new product we’ve been crafting, @figma Sites. Bridging the gap between ideas and production is here — and I couldn't be more excited for the era of design we're in.
I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Product Designer at @figma! This is a space that’s always been close to my heart, and I’m thrilled to be working in design tools yet again
Hey folks! I’m hiring for a Product Designer at DoorDash on our Online Ordering team! If you’re a high craft designer who loves 0 → 1 work and is passionate about helping merchants grow their businesses and create lasting relationships with their customers, reach out!
I just spent forever trying to go back through version history to find where I messed up - after having an engineer ping me and note that none of the text styles were in the design. Copy/pasting from past versions didn't work with component overrides.
@figma Please I beg of you. Change the behavior where cmd+b applies bold to all text within a selection automatically. It immediately breaks all bound text styles in components and it's SO EASY to accidentally do this if you mistype cmd+v when pasting some content and not realize
Feature request for @figma slides - allow you to have device frames for embeds so we don't have to manually align embeds to one. Oh and corner radii :) And animate sizes so I can zoom a prototype and have it maintain where I was in the flow.
