@Floridagirl0850 You kinda have to explore like “let’s see what I can make this week with stuff I can find here.” If you show up with a list, you’ll be disappointed. The change in mindset helps and it saves a ton of money
@DickieDogfather@TechOperator Plenty of people in America live in apartments and don’t have home chargers. Depending on how much you drive, plenty of people can go several days without even thinking about charging. My old neighbor charged once a week at a nearby free charger.
@DrNeilStone I think it should be that way. We should be reminded what we’re paying in taxes. I do like the simplicity of a combined price, but there’s some value in reminding us what we’re contributing.
Meal prep for my 48 hour shift. Each day includes an egg, sausage, potato and cheese burrito, spaghetti and meatballs, tri-tip with roasted sweet potatoes and fresh veggies from the garden. Then I top off each night with a pint of Halo Top ice cream. Super filling and leaves enough calories to indulge in some EMS break room snacks.
@TechOperator I’m only a few months in, but I don’t see ever wanting to go back. I do have my old 08’ Ford Escape that I bought new in 2008. It’s cheap to keep and serves as a good backup vehicle and for hauling the dogs, kayaks, etc to avoid getting my Tesla messy or scratched up.
So @rivian acquired @RouteBetter and now it suggests some Rivian chargers despite my set preference for @Tesla….even when Tesla is within a .5 miles. I got the app because the Tesla route planner won’t give me route alternatives that include 3rd party chargers, sometimes adding hours to my trip. I’m hoping this isn’t the new trend and they can keep their suggestions neutral.
@surfranchvibes I keep an older ICE vehicle for stuff like taking my dog places, hauling kayaks, some camping (although I’m starting to favor the Tesla for that). Basically as a backup or for things I don’t want to scratch up my car
@LamarMK I’m driving a HW3 model Y. Overall FSD is great, but it has its quirks like random braking on country roads. I’ve learned to know its strengths and weaknesses and take over when I need to.
Went on my first long road trip in the @Tesla. Super easy. Charging added maybe an hour. Utilized a 3rd party charger once and plugged into an RV outlet at the cabin since we were pretty remote. Overall a net positive. The only negative was added time, but when you factor in hands-free self-drive, way cheaper “fuel” costs, and less road fatigue since I’m stopping every couple hours to stretch, I’d say it’s better than anything I’ve done in a gas vehicle.
Hantavirus exists
There isn't a pandemic
There is an outbreak
No one is asking you to mask
No one is asking you to lockdown
Ivermectin doesn't treat Hantavirus
Now can I have 10,000 likes for stating the totally obvious
