Just spoke at the Vue.js Israel meetup 🇮🇱
Talked about:
@nuxt_js at scale
@turborepo + Nuxt Layers
How to build multi-app setups with amazing DX
Huge thanks to @VueJSIsrael and Torq(The first unicorn of 2026!) for hosting.
Great crowd, great questions 🔥
The first sale👏
Almost a month has passed since I launched Melodic Mind.
More than 200 people signed up, showed interest, explored, played around - and none of them became a customer.
Until today.
It happened after conversations with users: understanding what they’re actually missing, where they get stuck, and where I’m just making assumptions that don’t hold water.
The first sale doesn’t prove everything works - it proves there’s a direction.
Something people are willing to pay for when it truly meets their need.
Next goal - 100 paying customers :D
I’ve been working on Melodic Mind for almost eight years, and the web is the only viable way for someone like me to build a product like this.
If I tried to build it platform-native, it would take me at least twice as long.
Since I’ve been deep in this world for years and closely follow every fix and change they ship in every iOS release, I know there’s no doubt - they’re doing it on purpose.
Hopefully getting the app into the App Store will fix most of these issues…
Many years ago, I remember my little brother playing this game with worms that collect money and kill each other.
The game is a pretty accurate model of the capitalist world: giant companies worth hundreds of billions against small people like me trying to grow and succeed.
And just like in the game, the big companies do everything they can to keep all the money to themselves - even if it means playing dirty.
What I’m talking about is all the bugs they intentionally inject into Web Apps installed on their devices.
I’ve spent hundreds of hours over the last few years solving issues that only happen on iOS. The bugs just keep coming, and they make it impossible for someone like me to build a truly high-quality product for their users.
I’m learning to talk to users and build based on reality instead of the image in my head.
Hard transition - but this is the moment I realized I’m not just building a product.
I’m building a business.
If you’ve been through this shift too, what surprised you most?
Now that the product is out, I had to switch hats:
Engineer → someone who actually needs to understand users, markets, and what truly works.
Suddenly nothing is binary.
Most answers are just “no idea, test it.”
@mx_twit Yes, only for the UI currently.
Will probably move away from it in the future though, as it got messy combining it with Nuxt with the recent releases
Over 7 years ago, I had a vision: One app that solves every need musicians have on their journey;
A few weeks ago, that vision finally came to life as Melodic Mind - the app that's going to change how musicians practice, explore and create music.
@TheAlexLichter@nuxt_js@rolldown_rs Fail.
Good news though, it's working perfectly with Node 22.19, and build time went from 17.32 -> 9.83 seconds
This is great, thanks for the help :)
@TheAlexLichter@nuxt_js@rolldown_rs Still doesn't seem to work, failing with the same error on both the dev-server and when trying to build.
`crypto.hash is not a function`
On Nuxt 3.19.0
Some context is that i'm running this within a large(15+ packages) monorepo, using TurboRepo and PNPM.
