It’s truly time to retire the misogynist trope that angry men are powerful, yet angry women are unhinged.
It’s such gaslighting nonsense. You SHOULD be mad at abuse of power. The real question is how one channels that energy into positive change that creates justice.
In Burmese & English language, new explanatory materials on international justice & #Myanmar cover topics including the ICJ case, ICC investigation and the Independent Investigative Mechanism for Myanmar (IIMM). Produced by "AJAR" (Asia Justice And Rights) https://t.co/xUJ32hwaDm
Another important topic covered by @ICJ_org: Myanmar news rooms often don’t respond effectively when their journalists are arrested, disappeared and/or prosecuted
Important new guide on business and human rights in transitional justice contexts-focusing in corporate abuses of economic, social and cultural rights. @ProfSuryaDeva @Alston_UNSR @saliltripathi#bizhumanrights
My belated follow up @opiniojuris on the outcome of the attempted private prosecution request against Aung San Suu Kyi, with some remarks about #UniversalJurisdiction in #Australia, the Attorney-General's consent provisions + the lack of open justice at the #HCA. #auslaw

Today marks exactly 3 years that muslim lawyer #UKoNi & #NayWin, a taxi driver who tried to catch a muderer were killed. My thoughts r with them today. 🙏😓 U KoNi was the first person pointed out the need to #administrationReform & the role of ward/village tract elections.
Inspiring to see camp-based Rohingya groups extending their thanks to the 71 Myanmar CSOs that signed onto a letter expressing support for ICJ. In the long run that kind of solidarity can accomplish progress far beyond the reach of international justice.
Best picture of a day (probly in a decade) I couldnt believe my eyes to witness this scene. #Rakhine youth recited his poem while #Rohingya poet @AliMayyu & organizer poet @maung_saungkha listening in Yangon #Myanmar. "poetry for humanity". Youths bring real #peace & #change.
