Writes words for @whatsontvuk, @tvtimesmagazine, @TVSatelliteWeek and @Whattowatchnow. Was once described as 'historically informed' by Lucy Worsley...
@stusfootyflash@TerryHall8888 For some reason he chose not to take Div 1 top scorer Ian Wright to those Euros. England were terrible and got one goal all competition. Terrible manager.
@Zonal_Marking@AhoraMeRindo@draper_rob The fact is these incidents haven’t been given for the rest of the tournament. This was given because it was against Argentina and Messi, just as VAR didn’t send him off earlier in the tournament. Do you think if Messi scores this goal VAR intervenes to disallow it? No chance.
@realcj001@CWeatherspoon_ Yeah it's not the 41 year-old striker who can't run, it's the four world class midfielders who've played brilliantly all season who are shit.. 😂😂😂
Special report from Port Arthur, Texas. It is one of the saddest, most desolate places I have ever visited. It is also where Aramco, FIFA's major worldwide partner and an inescapable presence at the World Cup, owns the largest oil refinery in the US. https://t.co/RqNNq1neum
@ademir2z Won 4 league titles, part of one of the best back fours in English football history, many England caps, but ‘not a top player’. Come on mate.
@cruz99975@mrdanwalker I think that reflected more poorly on him than her tbh. Agree about getting your interviewee on board, but would argue that’s nigh on impossible so soon after they’ve suffered such a loss, in such a short space of time. It’s a difficult and thankless gig in those circumstances.
@cruz99975@mrdanwalker The point is we know he’s disappointed, but it’s the interviewer’s job to get him to expand on that in a live situation within a very short space of time. Often an ‘obvious’ question is the best way to get that answer - and they got one that captured his feelings very well.
@cruz99975@mrdanwalker Interviewing someone for a job is completely different, for countless reasons, as I’m sure you can appreciate. So your question would be “what went wrong with the first goal?” Well that would also be branded an ‘obvious question’, after all we all saw what happened…
