@jacobzanolla So why not include Horton in trade talks instead of Nico? Especially with money coming off the books over the next 2 years and the glut of SP on FA market coming soon.
@BronxBomber447 It’s wild you think the cubs acquiring Brujan makes Hoerner expendable. If they did trade Nico - and that is a big if - I doubt it will be to the Yankees…and he’d be replaced with Shaw and not the career .189 hitter with questionable defense.
@blakecowellx@Chip_Taylor That’s what it’s all about. Like I said, levity is fun. Your winter meetings updates were hilarious, but your analysis of potential moves and what they meant up and down Cubs system were spot on and reminded me of Brett and bleachernation, who I’ve followed over a decade now.
@blakecowellx@Chip_Taylor Legit baseball knowledge. Analysis and reporting groundtruthed in baseball ops and system eval, not just the 26 man MLB roster. Levity and comedy always helps. I’ve enjoyed your content as a new follower, but some reactions by Cubs content creators have been cringe lately.
@pamsson I think he’s going to pull off like 3 moves back to back to put out a squad that can win the weakened central. So if Tucker falls, then it’s belli to NYY or belli and Nico to SEA for pitching, then Alonso, or burnes or something. Slow now but it’ll happen fast if I’m right.
@pamsson I honestly think this has been Jed’s plan all along, so yes. What has been missing in the cubs commentary the last couple of days is the fact that I think Jed is GMing for his life right now. He has to execute these succinct, impactful moves to drastically improve or he’s done.
@BleacherNation Very true. Also the last couple of days of comments on this platform, one thing that has been missing in the (mostly) uninformed commentary is the fact that I think Jed is GMing for his life right now. He has to execute these succinct moves to drastically improve or he’s done.
