Last year, NVIDIA signed a "non-exclusive license" and hired most of Groq's important people to fill the ultra-fast interactivity accelerator segment of the market that NVIDIA was missing. NVIDIA has since been able to complement their existing Rubin GPUs with LPUs using techniques like draft disagg, AFD, and just normal PD disagg.
