He’s just as likely to whack up taxes (land tax), increase spending on social housing & bloat the state even more by increasing the public sector

THIS. NEVER. WORKS.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to reduce spending, pay down national debt AND grow the economy

But this is what they are saying they will do, but here’s what more likely to happen:

>The U.K will get into more debt
>The economy will continue to stagnate
>The public sector will get bigger & cost more

Then everyone making money will leave, the UK will crash, & capitalism will come to the rescue (too late)

This is why I teach people to be self-sufficient & entrepreneurial, because the state will NOT save you

Everyone’s raging about the 22% ISA cash interest charge.

Wrong target.

The real one is the fiscal drag, the £20k ISA allowance’s been frozen since 2017. With inflation it’d be ~£26k+ today.

That’s £6k of tax-free shelter quietly taken away every year. No vote, no headline.

You may not care or see the problem today.

But then it will be tax on the gains, then reduce the yearly deposit amount.

The more I think about this the angrier I get - work your arse off to give loads of it away in tax. Do the responsible thing, save up - just to give loads of it away in tax. And what do you get to show for it? Just more people with their hand out, demanding more money from you.

I’m no Genius but surely rather than actually penalising people by taking a % of their savings aswell as the 25 % (on or up to 4k) that make an early withdrawal why don’t they just take the 25% back on the withdrawal amount, nobody looses out then? It really is that simple..
