@WallStreetApes They are not “pandering to Islam”. They are trying to accommodate the a variety of consumers. They didn’t change anything in their products, they just wanted people for whom it is a concern that their products meet halal requirements.
It doesn’t impact you in any way.

Most Tillamook cheeses are vegetarian and many are Halal-certified; other products vary.
Tillamook states on its official FAQ that since 2016 it has used fermentation-produced microbial (vegetarian) rennet that also carries Kosher and Halal certification. This enzyme is not animal-derived.
Vegetarian status
•Cheeses: All current Tillamook cheeses are vegetarian except Maker’s Reserve 10-Year Extra Sharp Cheddar (which uses traditional animal rennet). Packaging commonly states “Contains no animal rennet (vegetarian).”
•Ice cream: Vegetarian except Rocky Road (marshmallows contain pork gelatin).
•Yogurt, sour cream, butter, cream cheese spreads: Vegetarian.
Halal status
•Cheeses: The majority are Halal-certified (IFANCA). Look for the Halal symbol on the package—many blocks, shreds, and slices carry it. The company specifically notes the Kosher Medium Cheddar uses the same Halal-certified vegetarian rennet.
•Ice cream: Not Halal-certified.
•Yogurt, sour cream, butter, cream cheese: Not Halal-certified (though vegetarian).
•Frozen meals: Not Halal-certified and some contain meat.
