My husband died of his injuries 2 yrs ago at home with me. I had a terrible time believing he was gone even though he had been in hospice and nurses showed me he clearly had no vitals.
It was when they draped the American flag over him that I knew he was gone and felt he was safe to go without me

That American flag covering my husband gave me more comfort than anybody around me could have.

I can only assume they lost the jury sympathy from the dead children to the defendant. How unfortunate.

@mattvanswol It sounds like the jurors all thought they were experts, that must have been exhausting for him. He wanted the judge but we said we are the experts. He wanted the medication list but we had nurses (lol) there to explain it to him. Yawn.

I have three sisters who say they are nurses. None have worked in over 2 decades but they pay to keep their license.
So many times I have heard them say, "I'm a nurse and I can tell you that .."
One was institutionalized for mental illness; one was arrested for shoplifting at Kohls and the other had a child that had a frequent flyer pass at beachfront rehabs and finally killed himself 3 years ago with fentanyl.
Based on my personal experience with three nurses, this behavior does not surprise me at all.
