@CNybak Probably the Asian side. If the picture isn’t flipped, shadows indicate that the sun was behind the photpgrapher, which is usually at south, never at north. Bosphorus at left indicates Asian side. Unless in a steep bay like İstinye and it is early/late but it doesnt look like it

🚨CHARLES RWOMUSHANA: A LIFE INSIDE UGANDA'S POWER.
@rwomchechen has spent most of his adult life inside Uganda's power rooms, first as the man listening in the shadows, then as the man talking back at the top of his voice. From a village in Rukungiri to the guild presidency at Makerere, from the Constituent Assembly to the Political Intelligence Desk at State House, and finally to the radio studios where he became one of the country's most polarising commentators, his story is a study in how a system can produce its sharpest critics.
He was born in Kahoko village, Nyakagyeme sub-county, Rukungiri District, orphaned young, raised by a hardworking mother. The name itself, in the local dialect, carries the idea of something being brought into the open, fitting for a man who has spent decades insisting that the country's political secrets belong in public.
At Makerere he was elected Guild President in 1992, then won a seat in the 1994 Constituent Assembly that shaped the 1995 Constitution. President Museveni later appointed him RDC of Pader, then head of the Political Intelligence Desk in the President's Office under ISO. He was relieved of those duties in 2008, he always insisted he resigned, and the break with the system he once served became permanent.
Since then he has built a second career as a commentator who refuses to soften his language. On Radio Simba's Saturday show with Peter Kibazo, on NBS Barometer, and elsewhere, he has analysed power with the precision of someone who once watched it from the inside. He has criticised the NRM's internal primaries, spoken about the north's long suffering, and tangled publicly with figures close to the first family. He even picked presidential nomination forms for 2021 as an independent.
That boldness has cost him. In 2016 he was arrested after circulating a photograph linked to the disappearance of Christopher Aine. In 2020 he was charged with disobeying a COVID curfew order outside NBS studios. And this July, his name appeared in the prosecution's evidence in the treason trial of Dr Kizza Besigye, accused of attending a Brussels meeting about plans to remove the government by force.
Today, while he was live on air at Radio Simba in Bukoto, armed men in civilian clothes walked in, dragged him out by his trousers, notebook still in hand, and took him to an unknown location. Radio Simba confirmed the seizure. Neither police nor the UPDF has explained why.
Rwomushana has never been easy to categorise. He served the state, then turned on it. He speaks with the calm of an analyst and the stubbornness of a man who believes the public deserves the unvarnished truth. Whether today's removal is the latest chapter in a long feud with the authorities, or the beginning of something darker, remains to be seen. What is clear is that the man who once watched Uganda's politics from the shadows is still refusing to stay quiet, even when the men with guns come for him on air.

- Magic é uma música que não sei se vai pegar ao vivo, por mais que ela seja potente
- Voz do Shadows está MUITO melhor do que no último RIR, inclusive já tinha sentido isso no início do ano
- Adorei o setlist
por isso ngm leva roqueiro a sério, os maluco pararam no tempo, "banda de adolescente" aí tu vai ver o m shadows com 45 anos nas costas, bmth com mais de 20 anos de banda
Hoje é o pior dia do Metal na história do Rock in Rio. Tirando o Sepultura que é uma entidade do gênero, só temos bandas de adolescentes.
Em 2013, na cobertura, ouvi uma definição que até hoje me solta risadas e exemplifica isso: "O Avenged Sevenfold é o Restart do Metal".
