@ceeko_o @VivaLaDoctor finding depots is a nightmare without having a bot running 24/7 waiting for game updates or just scraping all the depot ids from steamdb.

So long as there are multiple sources pulling from Steam's API, NexusMods cannot fudge their numbers without being caught out.
If they get caught fudging, people will stop using SteamDB.

Nexus Mods has acquired SteamDB.
The site’s creator @thexpaw is stepping away after burning out from years of running it. He looked for a team he could hand the project over to, but never found anyone he fully trusted.
SteamDB will stay SteamDB for now, but over time, Nexus Mods will be slowly integrated in the site.

El creador de SteamDB se retira y la ha vendido a Nexus Mods.
Esto es lo que probablemente pase teniendo en cuenta la trayectoria altamente censora y extremista de Nexus Mods:
-Monetización absoluta: el acceso a X información será de pago o habrá límite diario.
-Censura total a datos de juegos que ellos consideren problemáticos. Se acabó la neutralidad.
-Datos manipulados o inaccesibles cuando algún juego protegido por sus ideologías extremas se estrelle de nuevo, esto incluye metadatos, reseñas, etc.
Ya deciden qué mods existen según encajen o no en su agenda, decidir qué cifras se ven es el paso natural.
