You are totally missing the point. Thuney was 32 when he went to the Bears. Williams was 32. Both not under contract past that season.
Nobody is giving you a 1st for any OL if they're over 30 on an expiring contract.
But if they're 26 with 3 years left on their current deal...yeah maybe you get a 1st. I'm talking a young OG, that's generational and under team control for several years.
A moot point really because nobody ever trades those guys.
@ChaseIsChi You don't take a pro bowl guard (either thuney or nelson) and play them at center where they never played before.
Plus, Ben wants a certain kind of center which neither profile that way.
