@Kalshi Boost mobile still exists?
SpaceX is in preliminary discussions with EchoStar to either acquire its Boost Mobile brand or secure access to the provider’s wireless network to expand the aerospace company's telecommunications presence. https://t.co/AC7JYv7Apc

@kwabert @SawyerMerritt @Starlink Boost has the distribution. He’ll kick that brand to the curb and rebrand all stores to Starlink mobile
Tonights SpaceX post market digest
Everything you need to know if you are short on time. No need to look at anything else.
Pay attention:
1. SpaceX closed green at $136.37, back above the $135 IPO price, while the Nasdaq fell 1.07%. It was up 5.4% at $142.05 this morning.
2. Elon cut the Grok Bot limits because serving it cost more than it made. Same compute, better margins. Shareholders loved it.
3. Anthropic filed Q3: about $17B revenue and up to $120B of compute rented from SpaceX. The tenant is about to be priced like the landlord.
Bonus: the Washington Post reports SpaceX is in talks to buy Boost Mobile from EchoStar or lease its network.

Screenshots best summary
SPCX fell 6.37% to $134.72, the first close under the $135 IPO price since 20 August. It broke $140, traded a high of $140.20 and a low of $134.50, and closed near the bottom of the day. Volume was ~1.17× the 20-day
average.
The stock finished the week down 8.66% and was $135.62 after hours.
1. Broad tech/AI selloff drove the move: Intel −28.58% (worst day since 1974), Nasdaq Composite −3.09%, Nasdaq-100 −3.47%.
Not SpaceX-specific news; the stock traded like a high-beta tech name
2. Market value has fallen more than $400B in under a month, from over $2.3T on 6 October to roughly $1.83T. Friday also broke the $140 floor that had held the prior week.
3. Binance’s CZ noted the firm’s SpaceX stake is worth over $1B. Co-founder Yi He said revenues cover the recent hack losses
4. Gwynne Shotwell’s planned gift of over 2 million shares (~$269M) to children’s Trump accounts is a long-term escrow transfer, not a sale, and adds no near-term selling pressure.

@peridotprotocol @WatcherGuru I use to sell boost mobile. Pretty solid company back then. Alot of people like that its prepaid and the monthly packages was not bad. Not sure now though?

🛰 SpaceX in talks over Boost Mobile deal as Elon Musk eyes launching its own mobile service
SpaceX is in talks to buy Boost Mobile or gain access to its network as Elon Musk’s company moves toward launching its own US mobile service. The discussions with EchoStar, Boost’s parent company, have been under way for several months.
The proposed Starlink Mobile service would combine satellite connectivity with infrastructure on the ground. SpaceX has already purchased wireless spectrum licenses from EchoStar and recently acquired low-band spectrum that could help its signals reach inside buildings.
The company has also reportedly discussed gaining access to at least 80,000 US cell sites. Those efforts suggest it is assembling the ground infrastructure to support its satellite ambitions, with Boost offering another potential route into the market.
A deal could provide an existing customer base and distribution operation.

@SawyerMerritt @Starlink 7.38M Boost subscribers would make Starlink Mobile a carrier on day one, not a startup. How fast do the big three cut prices once that happens?
@TesLatino Just epoxy it to the roof, self contained cell tower, runs on Boost Mobile. All the cool kids got’em 😉

@khatunggie43692 Boost mobile doesn’t even own their own towers. It’s not innovative. And spaceX is about rockets not cell phones. They promise the future. But this ain’t it.
@squawkCubed The analysts' surprise is fair, but isn't finding this stuff out exactly what analysts get paid for? What's the Boost Mobile angle here?
@xjsniacloqsqiy Boost mobile customer base versus Starlink customer base.
@commagen01 Fair point on analysts, but the post is about SpaceX potentially getting Boost Mobile for reach, so is that the part they missed?
