You're completely missing the point lol. Nobody is saying Oakleys don't retail for $100–150. The point is that retail price isn't production cost or what Rockstar paid for them.
Rockstar didn't walk into an Oakley store and buy a pair for $150. They're ordering a massive quantity directly for a merch bundle, so they're paying a fraction of retail. Same with the New Era hat. A $40 MSRP doesn't mean it costs anywhere near $40 to make or that Rockstar paid $40 for it.
You're basically using another company's markup to justify Rockstar's markup.
The entire point is that this is a $400 merch bundle, filled with mass produced shit that Rockstar presumably acquired for a fraction of its combined retail MSRP. And unlike an actual collector's edition, THE FUCKING GAME ISN'T EVEN INCLUDED. That's what people are criticizing. Not "Oakleys aren't worth $150."
