How about all of it fucking sucks after Prometheus. Even Alien 3 is redeemed by the release of the Directors cut. And Romulus fans can't complain about 3 or 4 given how much of both were carbon copied into Romulus.

@BenDaves3 I honestly love covenant and Prometheus but I agree, I wish the guy who made Romulus got to make HIS sequel, wanted to see where he took it

Este señor hizo un remake de unos de sus films más celebres y consiguió empeorar todas y cada una se sus escenas.
En 15 años ha hecho 10 películas y ninguna es mejor que Alien Romulus.
De hecho, 4 o 5 son un despropósito.

Anyone who says Romulus leaned on callbacks is either larping or trying too hard to hate. It's literally a direct sequel to the first Alien film. Makes total sense for it to have a similar vibe and storyline.
@OdinBrodin I liked Romulus a lot, but i'd argue that we like it so much because the last Ridley's ones are shit.
@DiscussingFilm @allocine Romulus was great, but it did copy a lot of things from the previous Alien movies. I'm glad Ridley is going back for one more.
@BenDaves3 Prometheus was a success and Covenant did, at worst, just fine. Romulus was good, but unimaginative.

@RiffenJP True to all that, especially on the TASM bit. But yeah, those two are just ok at best movies and them being put on some high pedestal when they’re on the same level as Alien: Romulus is insane to me.
