ahhh... we also know sexual abuse and csam is bad and punish it as so too. CSAM is bad because the creation of such amount to child abuse, moreover it is because children CANNOT consent. Canonicity does not matter, because that shit is made up and fluid, today author say this about the character, tmr author say this character is actually a full grown adult haha sorry readers. I really do not believe the slippery slope argument, do you think violent video games or violent movies with ambiguous morality a slippery slope for children becoming terrorists and criminals? Because the older generation certainly believe it to be true. Hell, back then, the columbine shooters were framed as gamer in as slippery slope argument against video games, but decades have past to disprove all these assertions.

Problem with actual pedos is that they are born with attractions that are harmful to society, but at the same time attractions can't be "prayed away" so I am even more supportive of fictional outlets as a mitigation tactic so police can focus their limited resources on offending predators where fiction is not enough to prevent real harm. Issue with CSAM is the act of child abuse after-all not just the attraction alone.
