I really do not believe the slippery slope argument, do you think violent video games or violent movies with ambiguous morality a slippery slope for children becoming terrorists and criminals? Because the older generation certainly believe it to be true. Hell, back then, the columbine shooters were framed as gamer in as slippery slope argument against video games, but decades have past to disprove all these assertions.

Problem with actual pedos is that they are born with attractions that are harmful to society, but at the same time attractions can't be "prayed away" so I am even more supportive of fictional outlets as a mitigation tactic so police can focus their limited resources on offending predators where fiction is not enough to prevent real harm. Issue with CSAM is the act of child abuse after-all not just the attraction alone.

Let me elaborate the situation with DLsite and DMM more, when DLsite and DMM got hit they not only cut off Visa and Mastercard, DLsite blocked oversea user from visiting content pages with contentious tags, while DMM straight up block oversea users from visiting the R18+ section entirely. Oversea users must use VPN to visit the contents (which is a good thing because it keep things rather than censor). DLsite since 2022 has begin massively offering translation or alternative language options for content, and they still offer them even now, so oversea user must still be a huge base for DLsite. Now look at how Fanbox react to the same pressure. It's a world of difference.
