What a wonderful celebration at the official opening of the new Queenscliff ferry terminal, an iconic tourism asset, made possible by the former Coalition government’s #GeelongCityDeal.

Backed by $10m of federal funding from the Coalition after the Andrews Labor government tried to stop any City Deal funding going to #Corangamite, I am so proud of what @searoadferries has delivered.

With Searoad carrying more than 1 million passengers across Port Phillip Bay each year, this state of the art terminal is a vital gateway to regional Victoria including our beaches, wineries and national parks in Geelong, the Bellarine and @greatoceanroad.

This state of the art building is in stark contrast to Labor’s utterly incompetent delivery of state-managed #CityDeal projects particularly the Geelong Convention Centre and the #12Apostles. Where the bloody hell are they? The Point Grey Lorne and Apollo Bay Harbour projects are also a mess. @CatherineKingMP even cancelled the Skenes creek coastal walk, such is Labor’s contempt for regional communities.

It is a complete disgrace that the @DanielAndrewsMP government is attempting to compulsory acquire private land at the 12 Apostles and destroy the Nessler family’s iconic helicopter tour business. The family even offered to build a new tourism centre at no cost to the taxpayer.

Labor’s thuggish ideologically-driven desperation to destroy successful tourism business along the Great Ocean Road knows no bounds.
