Spotted this little wonder from @James1940 while having a browse around the shop @Memorial_theFew over the weekend.
Lots of special items to purchase including some of my Northern Lights and Memorial in Winter pictures. All of the price from my pics goes to running the site.

Astonished and disappointed that @spitfiresdotcom are essentially bypassing Kent on the #Spitfire90 tour, especially missing out @Memorial_theFew
Of all the locations synonymous with the Spitfire, Kent & the #BattleOfBritain has to be among the top 3.
Very poor decision.

Had a lovely visit to @Memorial_theFew with some friends today.
Great drinks in the cafe with the best view in Kent.
Also met the generous chap who kindly bought one of my pictures at an auction to raise funds for the Trust, and is now a volunteer at the site.

The Wing, Cockpit Cafe and car park are now closed, but the Memorial grounds remain open for walkers.

Reopening on Tuesday 6 January.

Missed out on quite a bit this week, whilst being in Norfolk, but today we went for a dog walk near The Wash and saw something in the far distance (4 miles).
Maximum digital zoom showed it as the wonderful @RAFBBMF Lancaster on it's way to @wabbey.

17 September - On this day in 1940, with the Luftwaffe still licking its wounds following its unsuccessful raids two days earlier, Adolf Hitler postponed Operation Sealion, the planned invasion of Great Britain, indefinitely.

@Memorial_theFew @RAFBBMF Absolutely gutted I’ll be in Norfolk that day, and will miss out.
I hope the weather behaves for you and the @RAFBBMF are able to pay tribute to The Few.
I’ll only be a couple of miles from @RAFBF_RAFMarham, so will be thinking of you when I hear the F35’s in the sky.

85 years ago today, is officially recognised as the start of the Battle Of Britain.
Many people fought and died during a short few months, but it was one of the events of the war which really did change the outcome. Remember ‘The Few’ and also the many who supported them.

A privilege to be @Memorial_theFew today to remember those who took part in the Battle Of Britain.
A shame that the weather stopped the @RAFBBMF from marking the 85th anniversary over the White Cliffs -maybe on 15th Sept instead?
