@DannyDutch Judging by how many of the engineers were let go in the last few days, and even more left voluntarily yesterday, Iโd give it a 50/50 chance at this point.
"The right to access every building in a city by private motorcar in an age when everyone possesses such a vehicle is actually the right to destroy the city."
@DannyDutch Good story, itโs sending me down a rabbit hole on the history of Zaire.
You did repeat the same paragraph twice by the way โ For the first few rounds, Ali โฆโ
Tis the season โฆ for adapting to the new/old weather conditions for the commute. Shorts? How many layers? Which gloves? Too warm? too cold? will it rain?
@vaticdart @StumpToEmerald it was a bad bad idea. And I had to climb up Madison St from 3rd Ave to the top for once. Even with a mask I'm still feeling it in my nose/throat.
@Danielhep IMHO not shouting but rather clear articulations of what the community expected to hear updates about: how to address the rising safety concerns. People started getting angry when we got the brush off and evasions blaming bureaucratic processes.
Dont want my fam or neighbors to be a stat on some crime spreadsheet. The Greenwood shooting happened after gradual increase in threats: Verbal then w/ bear mace then gun waving from the camp dwellers. We demand enabling the enforcement of laws (no tents on sidewalks) NOW!
Very underwhelmed by the response of @CMDanStrauss at the #Greenwood townhall. We are all compassionate, but in addition to housing solutions we need to weed out the criminals. Safety concerns were brushed off with statements about budgets and strategies and working groups.
We need tactical solutions right now, so that 99.9% percent of this Seattle neighborhood feels safe, even if that inconveniences 0.1% of the residents (the tent dwellers). We are fed up with the lax policies towards crime.
