Sadly, it's 2022 and the good ship Atlas and skipper Peter are no longer with us. As you may recall, 2021 POL was called by the CG on the count of gusts, which brought down our displays. They've been repaired, but alas no ship to sail them proudly on.
@peterholden10 Thank you for the positive feedback Peter. Now that we're working from a solid foundation, we have the ability to model (in software) any additions to the display before we actually build them. I have provided the canvas ... it's now up to the artists to start creating.
Crew, So I've taken to twitter to show you where we are so far for 2020. Thinking this could be a good platform for comment and decide what we need for the POL in 2021 ... fingers crossed we get the all clear by then. #ATLASPOL
This second video shows the actual displays being driven by the hardware player/controller. The "bubbles" at the start of the show are my attempt at making best use of extraneous light nodes.
So far, the show is 2 minutes in duration and makes use of the display features to the extent possible ... food for thought when considering new displays. This first video is take from the perspective of the software used to sequence the show ...
