@pokemondealsuk The issue is, 2 years ago, I could buy from rip and shippers at retail. I had silver tempest etbs at £45. Could choose ripped or sealed.

Now, these utterly toxic "surprise sets" where 95% of the items are Korean or Japanese single packs, are killing it. Gambling central

@TrevorSuchka @welovepokemon Yeah I pretty much only buy sealed from retailers or pokemon center now. Being UK based we don't get a huge amount of stock anyway.

Mostly just buy singles and WOTC era right now anyway.

@TrevorSuchka @welovepokemon I had whatnot for a while. Every time I went in was packs going for 1.5-3x what they were on other platforms, with sellers hyping it up.

Whatnot achieves this by preying on the gambling and instant gratification addicted people in society.

It's quite predatory unfortunately.
