Las narrativas del colapso fatigan al electorado. El progresismo debe abandonar los discursos catastrofistas y empezar a ofrecer relatos basados en la ilusión y el futuro transitable.

3/ El error de infravalorar a quien vota

Tratar de "tontos" o "ignorantes" a quienes votan por Trump, el Brexit o las opciones de derecha en América Latina es prácticamente un suicidio electoral.

Las mujeres tienden a ver más atractivo a un hombre si el coche que hay a su lado es más caro.

En este estudio fotografiaron al mismo hombre junto a tres coches de valor muy diferente: un viejo Dodge Neon viejo y destartalado, un Ford Focus normal y un Mercedes C-Class nuevo y lujoso. Después, mostraron las fotos a cientos de mujeres para que calificasen su atractivo. Resultados: cuanto más caro era el coche que aparecía junto al hombre en la foto, mayor era su calificación promedio de atractivo.

Desde la psicología evolutiva, este efecto tiene sentido. Las mujeres, debido a una mayor inversión biológica en la reproducción (embarazo, parto y crianza), tienden a priorizar parejas que demuestren capacidad para proveer recursos y estabilidad. Los símbolos de riqueza, como un coche de lujo, actúan como señales visibles de estatus y éxito, aumentando la atractividad percibida del hombre de forma predecible y lineal, tal como predice la teoría de la selección sexual.
