CDF Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has announced a series of leadership changes within the Patriotic League of Uganda (@Plumedia1) through posts on his official X (formerly Twitter) account (@mkainerugaba).

He appointed Hon. Fadil Twala (@HonTwallafadil), the PLU Coordinator for Sebei Sub-Region, as the new General Secretary, replacing Hon. Daudi Kabanda (@DaudiKabanda).

Gen. Muhoozi also thanked Kabanda for his service as General Secretary, praising his three-year tenure and noting that he set a high standard for the position.

In the new changes, the National Vice Chairman has been tasked to organise a formal handover ceremony between Hon. Kabanda and Hon. Fadil Twala.

In Uganda, you carry 50,000 shillings in one proud note, yellow & powerful. You walk into a kiosk, and even the flies make way. People look at you like, “Eh! Omugaga atuuse!”

But then you cross over to Kenya, expecting to maintain your VIP status only to find that same 50k has been humbled to 1,900 bob. Just like that! You go from “big spender” to “can I get a packet of milk and maybe a bread?”

Then comes Tanzania ah, sweet redemption! You exchange your 50k UGX and boom 36,000 Tanzanian shillings! The wallet is fat again, and you're back to buying soda, snacks, and still asking, “Ni bei gani kama nimechukua mbili?” The shopkeeper calls you mzee wa pesa, and you smile like someone who owns land near the source of the Nile.

One note, three countries three personalities! East Africa, why are you like this?
