“Resilience is still the soul of Ethereum.”
This is why Taiko chose ZK proving from the start. Mathematical verification strengthens Ethereum’s resilience at scale.

Pilots usually prove concepts, but Project Acacia went far beyond that.
The Reserve Bank of Australia (@RBAInfo) needed to test whether blockchain technology could handle wholesale settlement for real financial assets.
They started with a question...🧵
Simply Taiko Tuesdays💡
Preconfirmations explained: Imagine ordering on Uber Eats but having to wait 12 minutes to find out if the restaurant accepted your order.
That's how Ethereum normally works. You send a transaction and wait for the next block (about 12 seconds) to see if it went through.
Preconfirmations are like getting an instant notification from the restaurant: "Order confirmed, we're cooking it now." You don't have your food yet, but you have a reliable promise it's coming.
With preconfirmations, validators give you immediate confirmation that your transaction will be included in the next block. If they break that promise, they lose money. So you can trust it and keep going instead of waiting and wondering.
In short: Preconfirmations make blockchain feel instant by giving you a guaranteed promise upfront, before the transaction is finalized.
Taiko Takes: What 2025 Proved🥡
The crypto industry loves roadmaps. "We'll decentralize later." "ZK is coming eventually." "Trust us."
2025 was the year we stopped promising and started proving.
What We Shipped:
- Sub-2-second preconfirmations live on mainnet
- 100% ZK coverage achieved in December
- 909M+ transactions processed
- Chainlink ACE integration for institutional compliance
- TaikoSwap and real-world payments via Bitget Card
The gap between "we're working on it" and "it's live in production" matters. We crossed it.
The ENS Moment
When Ethereum's most critical infrastructure picks your architecture, it's validation.
ENS chose Taiko's stack for Namechain. They didn't need to launch as a based rollup. They could have picked any L2 design, any sequencing model. They chose based because infrastructure that lasts decades can't depend on centralized operators.
That decision will age well.
What We Proved
- Decentralization and speed aren't a tradeoff. Sub-second finality with fully decentralized sequencing works in production.
- Institutions care about credible neutrality. Chainlink launching ACE with -- Taiko alongside Ethereum and Linea wasn't random. When real money moves on-chain, censorship resistance matters as much as compliance.
- Based rollups work. Not in theory. In production. At scale. With real users.

@ameensol@0xprivacypools@0xbowio I think this is a good compromise.
Being excluded sucks but it's far less bad than being retroactively rugpulled. We should hold a clear line that retroactive rugpulling (of funds or of privacy) is something that we as an ecosystem oppose.
