If the ground became holy because God appeared there, imagine the woman who carried Him within her. 🙏

When Moses approached the burning bush, God told him, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground” (Exodus 3:5). God’s presence made that place sacred.

But Jesus did not merely stand near Mary. For nine months, the eternal Son of God truly lived within her and received His human nature from her.

That is why Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out, “Why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?” (Luke 1:43).

Catholics do not worship Mary. Worship belongs to God alone. We honor her because God honored her first, choosing her for a unique place in salvation history. And Mary answered Him with complete trust: “Let it be done to me according to your word” (Luke 1:38).

Mary never takes us away from Jesus. Her entire life points us toward Him and shows us what faith, humility, and surrender look like.

Through Baptism and grace, God also desires to dwell within us. Mary’s example invites us to give Him our own daily yes, especially when obedience is difficult.
