@CoreyWriting Idealizing high school has crazy imo, I can see why university but high school? Why would anyone idealize a time in their childhood when their biological peaks have not been reached yet?
My patience for other people's dogs is zero. If I'm inconvenienced or disrupted by someone's dog for even one second, it's unacceptable. Your dog should just not ever be my problem. But children are human beings. They are the next generation. We need them to exist and be participants in society or else human society goes extinct. Therefore the baseline patience we have for kids, even when they're slightly disruptive, should be INFINITELY higher than our baseline patience for dogs. And yet a lot of people, because they're retarded and selfish and worship their pets, have this exactly reversed.
@AntiNrx If that is the case then that is saying a lot. Southern California is known for a lot of things but being the core of American evangelicalism is not in the top 5 or 10.
@gloefflmann Did you even watch the clip? The guy, Steve Bartlett, has a clear british accent yet you are using him to generalize about Americans? I agree that this "optimization" trend can get out of hand but at least formulate your thoughts better lmao
@FischerKing64 Did you ever try nicotine products after? Those were the craze a couple of years ago but it seems to have waned and many on tpot have discovered the broscience people who have raised the alarm about constant nicotine.
@GuzzleGuinness@CoreyWriting 100% agree. If you are a smart kid, want to graduate with little to no debt, and plan on staying close to home, then going to the best state school in your state is the best option. People's experience can be state dependent but I think it can still broadly apply to many.
I think the OP has bad examples for some of the categories. UConn for best sports? Ole Miss for best party school/scene? Northwestern is a good school but I doubt many people have it as their top example for schools with good academics. UCLA in the late 2000s/early 2010s would be the best example imo but their sports have fallen off a cliff. Everything else is top tier.
@the_P_God His appeal has a low common denominator but he can pull some solid advice at times. I would be willing to bet that most of his audience is not even in the world of finance.
@AJA_Cortes This is why a lot of the hate towards these data centers or just tech adjacent things is actually towards the tech bros themselves. They are just so oblivious to the nontech world on their ivory towers.
@underIineoasl Hindsight bias is crazy, Argentina is not going to win nor get far. France and Spain are in a tier on their own and then Portgual/England are next. The winner is from those four countries.
@EdLatimore Back then and perhaps in the present again, all these sites are getting taken down whilst high schoolers are gaining access to synthetic/laced versions of whatever it is these kids take nowadays.
